A review of “YUKMIAN(육미안)”, a delicious beef grill restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul.

Today, I’m going to write about my experience at Yukmian(육미안), a grilled beef restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul.

First, we’ll tell them where the store is located.

Finding the store was easier than I thought it would be, but it wasn’t in an obvious location.

However, it is located very close to Hongdae Street, a famous tourist destination, so I thought it would be a good place to stop by while traveling.

Anyway, when you get to “YUKMIAN”, the entrance will look like this.

You probably won’t be able to find it if you rely solely on Google Maps. But at least this picture gives you an idea, right?

When you walk into the store, the staff is very helpful. She’s so nice that, as I’ll tell you later, the store owner should give her a raise.

This is the menu bar for “yukmian”.
As you can see, it’s not cheap, but the sad truth is that you have to pay this much to eat beef in Korea…

We ordered “본갈비” and “생갈비” as well as “한우 육회 김밥” and “스끼야끼 우동” here. In hindsight, we ordered a lot.

Once you’ve placed your order, they’ll offer you an appetizer salad.
It was sprinkled with plenty of pepper, olive oil, and mozzarella cheese, but the vegetables had a strong bitter flavor, but I was still hungry.

After devouring the appetizer salad in a flash, we wonder if the staff forgot we ordered, and then the mains start to arrive one by one.

Look at this flowing gravy. It looks so ridiculously delicious, doesn’t it? I’m struggling to wipe the drool off my face even as I write this.

It doesn’t stop there, they also put on a spectacular fire show before you eat your food.

So, let’s get down to the nitty gritty of taste testing.

I tried the “raw ribs” first. It’s a Korean-style grilled beef without any seasoning, and it was very tender, juicy, and satisfying to taste the real flavor of the beef. There was a layer of fat, but I think it made it more tender.

Next, I savored the “Boneless Ribs”. It was a marinated short rib with a teriyaki-like flavor, and I loved it. The flavor of the meat was rich, as evidenced by the juiciness and glossiness of the meat, and the pre-cut pieces were just the right size to fill my mouth with happiness.

Next, we’re going to show you the sides we ordered.

Honestly, the side menu left a lot to be desired. The yukhoe was too fresh, and the kimbap crumbled as soon as I picked it up with chopsticks. It was uncomfortable to eat and didn’t have any special flavor, but the white kimchi served as a garnish made it taste better…

The sukiyaki udon noodles are nothing to write home about, and the only redeeming feature is that they’re the cheapest thing on the menu. However, the food is not as good as it should be. It’s funny to have udon noodles in a beef restaurant, but it’s also not a very well executed flavor. I don’t recommend it.

After they’re done eating, serve dessert.

The dessert was called Sweet Sour Cream, and it was just like yogurt, but it was nice to scoop up a spoonful. It’s nice that they offer dessert since they don’t charge a lot for their food, but the portions could have been bigger.

Summary.

If you’re ever in the vicinity of Hongdae, or if you’re traveling, and you’re craving beef, it’s worth a visit.
The staff is friendly and the food is delicious.
However, the prices are not cheap and the portions are small.

I will continue to travel to many restaurants in Korea to promote the country and serve delicious food to everyone who visits.

I’ll be back with more delicious posts.
